1968  Laura (Abberger) Sherwood ** lsherwood2@tampabay.rr.com   Hi, how are you all? I've lived in Tampa since 1984. Married briefly for two years, but have been single for most of the time. Who'd a thunk? I've been self-employed as a permanent make-up artist for 10 years. I'm an animal rights activist, and have a Miniature Dachshund and a Cockatiel. I love Florida! I have two sons, Jason who has a 10 year old gorgeous daughter Bryn, and Chris who has an adorable 7 month old boy, Trey. I hope to hear from you-- Laura

1968  Gary Cusick ** glcusick@yahoo.com   Living in Cedar Park, TX., which is just NW of Austin. It's been nearly 20 years since I left Niles with my wife Sandy and two children, Casey and Crista.  Been married for 31 + years now. I currently work for WW ranger's Cross Referencing Services.  I travel around the country with my laptop computer, crossing maintenance parts inventories for our customer's over to Grainger parts. Great hours, and great perks.  In my spare time, I work on my project truck, a 1958 Chevy Apache pickup.  Just putting the finishing touches on a rebuilt 283 engine. Hope to have her on the road later this year. I'll be sure and post some pictures when I get it done. For those of you who wish to drop me a line, please do so.
1968  Sue (Derda) Wilson ** Bbybmr2@aol.com
1968  Michele (Felthouse) Schultz ** mls02@verizon.net  I live in Dowagiac, Michigan. I am married, have 2 children ( a daughter, Jamie and a son, Shawn) and 3 granddaughters. Currently, I am taking care of 2 of my granddaughters while their parents work.
1968  Lisa Montgomery Finlay ** watersoul9421@sbcglobal.net   I went to our 40th! reunion @ Jan Thompson's beautiful place on Barron Lake.  Last time I was there, it was small with a lot of much and tiny beach.  Now the lake is cleaned up, great gorgeous homes and hospitable people like Jan & her hubby.  I am a water baby and live on the water in Osceola, IN.  I am about a mile from the Elkhart County line on the very clean and beautiful St. Joe river.  When I was married (for 20 years too many! :-( }, we live on the same side of the river {south side} 6 houses from the Elkhart line.  It was a huge beautiful home on two lots and I fell in love with it.  Every summer/fall we would travel cross-country on a big Harley animal, packing sleeping bags and camping paraphernalia {except cooking items.}  We've been as far west as California and far east as Novia Scotia. Again, I fell in love with biking.  And that's the reason I stayed in the marriage 14 years longer than good for my health. Married in 1977 {and though at 27, I was old enough or knew enough to marry.}  Don't quite know what the criterion were but I sure was naive then.  We part-time raised my ex's {Jerry} boy's {then 5 & 7 }.  I left in 1996 & he dragged the divorce out for 5.5 years just to get even and to ensure I got nothing {wrong!}  It did cause a great deal of stress, all my $$ and then some and 4 lawyers who were all supposed to be good.  I learned more than I can put in an e-mail, the most important being is that you do not turn your life's future over to Dr's or Lawyers, unless you want to throw it to the wind.  I literally had to spoon feed, especially my last one or else I would not have been awarded what I did get.  We had no children but I have lots of nieces nephews and I'm also a great-great aunt to several.  I have made a concertedly successful effort to live my life without regrets, leaving the past where it belongs.  Out of 5 sibs, 3 are excomunicated from the family and will for stealing from parents and things I won't go into.  After HS, I went to IUSB until 1973 when I left with 11 credit hours to finish {first love and good paying job unfortunately came before studies.}  Sixteen years later, I went back to the university, finished the current required 45 hours, graduated with BA in Psychology. BY THEN I knew what I wanted to be when I grew up.  I continued on four more years and earned my MS degree in Counseling & Human Services {with a 3.98 GPA}.  It was a lot of work but because we all loved it, it was fun.  I have am an IN Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and have accumulated a line of accronyms after my name, MS, LMHC, BCP, FAPA, QMHP {which is short for a lot of BS that impresses those who read my resume in considering me for employment.}!!  I'll write the second chapter later.  You can weed out the small chat & just put whatever you feel is appropos.  I'll have a few tidbits to add.  I only put the Ego stuff like GPA and Acronyms for your humor.  I find that with each year of age comes a bit more sage and a lot less ego.  It frees the soul. I am a spiritual being, not by any means to be confused with religion!  I write poetry. Each is a brief synopsis of where am in life.  At times, Every though in a day is in verse.  Instead of chasing it away, I stop and write it down.  for your critique, I'll send an attachment of the one I wrote when Dad passed in 2004.  It helped me to cope. I have shared with a few other relatives.  The told me it helped them too {or they're just being kind.}  Since I'm working on my first book called "Going Home," that has poems woven through it , I also hope to publish my work so far.  Seems that publishers want a grouping rather than one at a time.  Anyway, I want your honest opinion.  You won't hurt my feelings. By the time I finish with a piece I'm writing, It looks like a bunch of words stuck together in a haphazard manner.  Actually, if you can stand it, I'll send 2.  The first one I wrote for my only brother for his 5oth birthday.  Growing up, 7 years older than I, he was my hero.  When he left, I was disillusioned and out relationship wasn't the same during most of adulthood.  There were things he went about as an adult that I didn't care for {at the time before I had gained sage and insight into components of life.}

1968  Beth Haynes ** jonesb219@aol.com
1968  Dennis Hooten ** anvil_of_love@hotmail.com  I've never been to a class reunion of my own. Timing is usually the problem. I did go with my wife to her 10 year reunion in Philadelphia,1985, and pretended to people there that I was an alumnus of their class, shaking hands, clapping guys on the back. Not one person all night was honest enough to say that they couldn't remember me or that they'd never seen me before in their life. As I said in the earlier message, my wife is pretty easy going, she puts up with a lot of crap like this from me.

1968  Ray Noell ** skybossasst@yahoo.com  I will celebrate my 38th wedding anniversary with my very PATIENT wife Donna on 7/11/08. We have two daugthers in their 30's who've been married 12 and 10 years respectively, and we have granddaughters ages 3 and nearly 5. What a GREAT GIG being a grandpa is! After many other vocations, restaurant manager for over 20 years, I now have been a United Methodist pastor for 11 years! After serving a church in the city of Buffalo, NY for 8, have moved into a huge parsonage in a very rural area east of Medina, NY, where I serve two UM churches that are only 3 miles apart. I love my career now! Would like to hear from those who remember me when you get a minute. Regretfully, I will not be able to attend our 40th class reunion as I have a wedding to perform that weekend. Blessings to all
1968  Leisa (Padgett) Brait ** leisabrait@sunvalley.net  After leaving Michigan State I wanted to live in the east. I finally settled & lived in the Cherry Hill, New Jersey (next to Philadelphia, PA) for the past 25 or so years. I have been a real estate broker (had my own company for several years and sold it) since 1979. Married and divorced, no kids, and married again (in 1996) to my husband Ken (he's a neurologist), who has a 31 year old daughter in NYC.  Just last year (2001) we moved west to Sun Valley, Idaho where we could enjoy our outdoor interest, skiing and hiking. We both work here, I am still doing real estate and Ken has set up practice and is affiliated with the new hospital. I feel very fortunate to live in such a beautiful place! Be sure to contact me if you plan a vacation here!
